Brought in my father's old Seiko that hadn't been running properly for years. Razif looked at it, explained what he found, and gave me a clear sense of what the service would involve. The watch came back on time and keeping excellent time. The timing certificate was an unexpected touch — I'll keep it with the watch.

Had the bracelet sized on my Omega — something I'd been putting off for two years because I wasn't sure who to trust with it. They measured my wrist properly and the result is perfect. The whole thing was done in a couple of hours while I walked around the area. Good value for what was done.

The gasket on my husband's dive watch had been a concern since we moved to Penang from KL. Brought it to Pendulaire and they were very clear about what the service covered. It was ready in two days. I appreciated that nothing was added to the scope without asking first.

I collect vintage pieces and finding someone who handles them with understanding is not straightforward. Razif asked sensible questions about the movement before touching anything. The watch came back regulated and performing noticeably more consistently. I'll be returning with others from the collection.

Went in not knowing which service I needed — my watch was losing about two minutes a day. They looked at it, explained the likely cause, and recommended the movement cleaning. Turn around was nine days, which is what they said it would be. Performance has been much steadier since.

The deployment clasp on my daily watch had been catching awkwardly for months. Took it to Pendulaire and the problem was sorted the same afternoon. Simple service but they explained what was worn and what they replaced. The bracelet also got a clean that I hadn't expected — a nice addition.

A Closer Look at Three Cases

A record of what came in, what was found, and what the outcome was.

Case Study 01 — Vintage Automatic

The Challenge

A 1970s Japanese automatic brought in by a collector. The watch was losing over four minutes a day, had a noticeably short power reserve, and the mainspring felt soft when wound.

The Work

Full disassembly and ultrasonic clean. One worn jewel identified and replaced. Mainspring assessed — still within tolerance. Lubrication applied and regulation performed across six positions over seven days.

The Outcome

Watch returned running within +6/-4 seconds per day across all six positions. Timing certificate issued. Client noted the power reserve had returned to the expected 40+ hours. Watch now worn regularly.

Case Study 02 — Sport Diver

The Challenge

A diver's watch brought in after a beach holiday. The owner noticed faint condensation under the crystal shortly after the trip and was concerned about moisture ingress.

The Work

Case back opened. Gasket had begun to flatten and crack at one point — consistent with the moisture symptom. New gasket sourced and fitted. Thread cleaned and case back retorqued to spec. Movement inspected — no moisture had reached it.

The Outcome

Watch returned in two days. Condensation issue resolved. Client advised on gasket service intervals for a watch worn frequently in seawater. Movement function not compromised.

Duration: 2 working days  ·  Service: Gasket Service  ·  MYR 480

Case Study 03 — Daily Wearer

The Challenge

A watch worn every day for several years, with a steel bracelet that had become noticeably loose. The deployment clasp was also stiff to operate, making it awkward to put on.

The Work

Wrist measured. Two links removed. Clasp disassembled — spring inside the butterfly mechanism had weakened. Spring replaced and clasp reassembled. Full bracelet cleaned in ultrasonic bath.

The Outcome

Completed same day. Bracelet fits correctly; clasp operates smoothly. Removed links returned in a small envelope. Client returned three months later with a second watch from their collection.

Duration: Same day  ·  Service: Clasp and Bracelet Adjustment  ·  MYR 450
